About the position

A well-known international supplier of IVD / Diagnostic products requires the above to support customers with analyser, application, operator, and reagent queries, working closely with the sales team to drive sales growth.
Minimum requirements for the role:

  • An electrical, Clinical Engineering Diploma or National Diploma in Medical Technology or any other 3-year related qualification is preferred for this role.
  • Previous experience working in a field service engineering position within the medical or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with customers face-to-face and telephonically is essential.
  • The successful candidate must have commercial sales experience, having worked within a diagnostic environment.
  • Experience working with IT or LIS systems is preferred.
  • Previous experience having worked with instruments, reagents and related products is essential.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical service and support to customers with analyser, application, operator, and reagent queries, working closely with the sales team to drive sales growth.
  • Troubleshooting analyser, application, and reagent issues, performing installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Tracking and documenting service calls accurately while implementing system upgrades and modifications, providing technical support.
  • Preparing reports and forecasts and support tenders, pricing, and contracts.
  • Managing and overseeing inventory spares and maintaining pricing lists and documentation as well as analysing service reports and performance metrics.
  • Conducting regular customer visits, building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ensuring adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) whilst following health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Collaborating and working closely with Applications and Service Support, Logistics and Business Development to strengthen the relationship with the customers to increase customer service.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
