Curriculum Co-Ordinator

About the position

PURPOSE

The main purpose of this position is to provide the Head, teaching staff and support staff with the necessary tools to enhance the teaching and learning capacity at the Educare Centre taking differently abled children into consideration with health and safety regulations in regard. Ensure a safe, secure, and controlled environment by protecting the Organisation's employees, visitors, students, premises, and other assets/resources an ongoing basis within the Organisation's structures. Successfully formulate a work environment that values and develops its employees within structures and composition of the Organisation, inspiring, transforming, treating everyone fairly/objectively with respect and dignity within high standard and quality of the Organisation's ethos. Monitor/assess/evaluate/track progress on all educational projects managed to ensure projects achieve their objectives and deliverables, documenting all activities effectively being accountable for curriculum needs of the Educare.

KEY AREAS

• CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT - Interpretation of learning programmes, development of learning materials and assessment methods and selection of appropriate teaching strategies
• LESSON PRESENTATION AND METHODOLOGY - Teacher's knowledge and experience of the learning areas that is presented to learners in ways that produce learning, interest, involvement, questions, and critical thinking
• LEARNER ASSESSMENT - The ability to assess the progress as well as the potential and actual learning through using a variety of assessment procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• NQF 7, in ECD and or related field with special needs, specialist training and experience for differently abled children an advantage
• 5 years' experience in curriculum and management experience, CURRICULUM TRAINED-NCF, NELDS

SKILLS

• Lesson presentation, learner assessment, presentations, and curriculum support.
• Staff relations, interpersonal skills, Professional knowledge, and skill

KNOWLEDGE

• Curriculum knowledge within ECD, NELDS, NCF

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION OR LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• SACE, DRIVERS LICENSE
• First Aid Certificate
• NCF certificate/training
