Creditors Officer at Innovative Solutions Group

About the position

A creditors officer is responsible for managing and processing accounts payable, ensuring that a company's debts are paid on time, and maintaining accurate records of these transactions.

Requirements and experience

• 5 years or more in creditors
• Experience within the petrochemical industry (advantageous)
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting/Finance (advantageous)
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with Pastel Intacct
• Excellent administration skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Commitment to meet deadlines

Duties

• Verify & process supplier invoices & support in line with company policies.
• Maintaining organised records ensuring complete and accurate records.
• Resolving queries with suppliers and internal departments.
• Daily follow-up with relevant departments regarding GRNS.
• Clear open items on the vendor listing.
• Experience working with various entities in a group.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries.
• Understanding the full creditors cycle.
• Maintain the monthly creditors file and obtain supplier statements.
• Month-end processes/perform monthly reconciliations of all vendor accounts.
• Submitting timeous payment requests ensuring payments to suppliers are made according to agreed terms.
• Assist the finance team in preparing financial reports.
• Provide assistance with any other accounting or administrative tasks as required.
