About the position

A well-established company based in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented Creditors Clerk & Finance Administrator to join their finance team.
Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a Creditors Clerk / Accounts Payable role.
• Proficient in Pastel (Sage Evolution).
• Strong supplier reconciliation experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Audit-conscious with strong document management and filing skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process local supplier invoices and credit notes on Pastel (Sage Evolution).
• Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs (7th, 14th, 25th, and month-end).
• Manage supplier queries and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Upload and verify invoices on the online audit filing system, ensuring VAT compliance, purchase order matching, GL coding, and approval documentation.
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready supplier filing systems, both physical and electronic.
• Manage petty cash and oversee stationery control.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
