Creditors Clerk
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Creditors Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager and be responsible for a range of routine and non-routine financial and administrative tasks.

Job Purpose:
The Creditors Clerk will work under the supervision of the Finance Manager, performing various financial duties and supporting the department with both routine and ad-hoc responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage creditors accounts in full, including:
  • Invoice and statement processing
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Following up on account queries
  • Payment allocations and capturing payments
  • Managing credit applications and related processes
  
  


• Handle ad-hoc payments and maintain scheduled payment runs


• Extract and monitor month-end figures for branches/companies


• Monitor daily EFT payments


• Track monthly municipal billing


• Capture invoices on SAGE Evolution and liaise with customers and suppliers


• Perform general and miscellaneous finance tasks as required to support business needs


• Demonstrate flexibility and initiative as the business grows and evolves

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAGE Evolution preferred)
