Creditors Clerk

About the position

Well known listed organisation in the manufacturing industry requires a Junior Creditors Clerk with 1 - 2 years creditors experience.  Individuals that apply must live in Roodepoort / Randburg or surrounding areas.
To be considered for the position you should meet at least the following essential criteria :-

• Matric / Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
• At least 1-2 years creditors experience in a MANUFACTURING environment
• Proficiency in MS Office is essential

Knowledge of Syspro would be an advantage
Certificate / Diploma or similar in finance or accounting would be an advantage


Perform the following essential tasks
Reviewing and verifying invoices prior to processing/matching to GRN’s
Matching supplier invoices to GRN’s
Ensuring full set of documents is received, i.e. purchase order, signed delivery note Syspro generated GRN’s 
Maintaining and following up on outstanding/unmatched GRN’s
Following up any price variances with the respective buyer
Coding and processing of non-stock invoices
Preparing and processing payment cycle for each supplier
Distribution of reconciliations and remittance advices to suppliers on a monthly basis
Monitoring accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Timeous follow up and reconciliations and remittance advices to suppliers  on a monthly  basis
Maintaining updated supplier files
Communication with suppliers and responding to inquiries;
Producing monthly reports
Assisting with month end closing
Ensuring supplier BEE status is up dated on the internal data base
Providing supporting documentation for audits; and
Other ad hoc duties or current projects
 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good administration skills with a high level of numeracy
Pay exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Persistent, hardworking and a team player
Clear understanding of accounting principles and the manufacturing process
Able to use initiative and work without supervision
