Credit Risk Architect at Datonomy Solutions

About the position

The Bank seeks to establish a future-ready commercialized credit / loan origination & servicing platform. 

The Credit Application architecture that we intend to deliver must be one that can evolve with the industry over time and serve the Bank’s Personal, Enterprise, Commercial and Corporate Banking segments. 

The Bank has issued a request for proposals to select and implement an end-to-end credit solution and it is against this background that the Bank intends to procure the services of a consultant that will provide assurance support from the evaluation phase through implementation until the successful completion of the project.. 

 

SCOPE OF WORK 

 

1. Support the Bank team with vendor evaluations. 

a. Participate in reference checks. 

b. Respond to vendor questions. 

c. Provide guidance to scorers of vendor responses re: 

• Architecture fit 

• Functional fit 

d. Review and assess vendor responses and advise the bank Management of: 

• Architecture component suitability as envisaged platform 

• Technology pitfalls and risks 

• Vendor offering strategic alignment with the bank Target Architecture 

• Financial leverage points 

e. Participate in vendor comparative scores and suitability selection. 

f. Support the crafting of the selection outcome artifact for Management consideration / approval. 

g. Participate in conducting vendor briefing sessions. 

 

2. Support the Bank to craft contracts to procure services for the Loan Management System. 

a. Participate in vendor negotiations. 

b. Negotiate software and service agreements to facilitate sustainable relationship with vendor. 

c. Review and assess vendor offer to: 

• Provide view on price points 

• Provide view on pricing model 

 

3. Support the Bank Team during the detailed planning for the solution implementation 

a. Using work to date to facilitate a detailed planning for the prioritized and transition to implement the Loan Management System. 

b. Participate in crafting the enterprise plan necessary to facilitate the Transition. 

 

4. Provide Quality Assurance 

 a. During the implementation phase, engage with stakeholders executing the program. 

b. Examine the artifacts and deliverables produced at the end of the design phase and analyze the components to be configured, integrated and/or developed. 

c. Examine the solution at the completion of the build and test phase but prior to deployment in production. 

d. Express an opinion on the quality of the designs and builds with the aim to proactively detect issues, risks and/or lack of quality attributes associated with the work to date. 

e. Express an opinion if the solution will meet the business objectives. 

f. Craft two (after design and after testing) assurance reports in PowerPoint format ready for executive consumption outlining findings and recommendations. 

g. Provide oversight of the architecture health at the Application, Integration, and Infrastructure level. 

h. Facilitate workshops with the bank and vendor teams for quality assurance on the designs. 

i. During the project duration be available to be consulted regarding architecture options and best practices for possible inclusion in the solution architecture.
