Credit Insurance Claims - Recovery Manager

About the position

As Recovery Manager, your primary role will be :

• Analysing cross-border commercial transactions to determine the obligations of the parties;
• Conduct document assessment and cargo tracing;
• Negotiating with the debtors to find amicable solutions;
• Conduct regular visits to debtors to engage on outstanding matters. Travel as required - a valid driver's licence is essential;
• Prepare cases to litigation, and if needed represent cases in court;
• Managing commercial claim files to ensure their progress as per the company's guidelines and advising the case managers on the progress of the claims files.

Qualifications

• Law degree (post-graduate qualifications are a plus), familiarity with bankruptcy/insolvency procedures, litigation and enforcement rules;
• Being an admitted attorney is a great advantage;
• Experienced in international trade transactions;
• Fluency in English (speaking Portuguese/French in addition is an advantage);
• At least three years' working experience in a similar field (in a bank, an insurance company, an ECA or a law firm).
