Credit Controller

About the position

Background:

• Excellent career opportunity for a Credit Controller within a manufacturing company to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Debtors Department

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric and a relevant Financial/Credit qualification
• Minimum 5 years working experience in debtors/credit control in a corporate environment
• Experience working with mining houses, petroleum companies and parastatals
• Experience with Ariba (SAP), Coupa, Taulia and Tradeshift is advantageous
• Syspro experience is a requirement
• Good Financial and Debtors experience
• Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)

Responsibilities:

• Debt collection on all accounts with exposure to Africa Debtors
• Bank and allocation of payments
• Reconcile accounts
• Process credit notes
• Handle of all account queries
• Liaise with Clients and Sales Departments
• Liaise with Branch Managers, Business Units and Administrators to ensure collections of debt country wide
• Comply with prescribed company procedures, including the signature mandates
• Assist in all areas within the Department
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned to you, as and when required to ensure the smooth operation of the Department
