About the position

Introduction

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, the Credit Controller will be meticulous, action orientated, a team player with relationship building abilities and have good communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the credit control portfolio of customer accounts and general administrative duties

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include:

• Taking full responsibility of the credit control function of a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Processing of payments and credit notes for the customer accounts.
• Managing of accounts to stay within credit limits.
• Resolving orders in suspense for the customer accounts.
• Resolving outstanding claims and queries on the customer accounts.
• Handling general queries and performing administrative duties.
• Liaising with customers to ensure prompt payments.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Our ideal candidate should have:

• A Grade 12 qualification plus excellent written & verbal communication skills in English.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance will be an added advantage.
• 3 - 4 years' experience as credit controller.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
• The ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• The ability to work accurately.
• The ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of the Syspro System will be an advantage.
