Credit Controller at Manuchar South Africa

About the position

At Manuchar, the Credit Controller will oversee the daily administrative and systems duties, managing various accounting and clerical responsibilities associated with maintaining and processing accounts receivable transactions.

The Job

Accounts Receivable

• Process the daily accounts receivable transaction of the company. Updating them constantly to ensure that they are effectively maintained.
• Update customers files and their corresponding number in the file system.
• Oversee and record the weekly reports, prepare for mailing the customers statements.
• Maintenance of the accounts receivables list.
• Process credit notes duly approved.

Accounting Standards

• Implement the accounting standards for accounts receivable and ledgers are in their proper ledger accounts.
• Ensure correct invoice entries into the accounts receivable module of any accounting system.
• Verify that office transactions comply with its financial procedures and policies.

Invoices and Payment Checks

• Administer the customers application documents to comply with SOP's.
• Prepare COD receipts for immediate collections.

Transactional Checks

• Analyse accounts and prepare reports.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.

Vendor Management

• Maintain records and vendor file.
• Correspond with customers and respond to any queries.

Reporting

• Submit monthly reports and help in month end closing to include: Reconciliation to statements and reviewing for age analysis.
