Are you a strategic thinker with a sharp eye for risk and a passion for agriculture?
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to play a pivotal role in managing credit risk and ensuring sound lending decisions in the dynamic Agri-business value chain.

In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting in-depth credit assessments and financial analyses to support sustainable financing solutions across a diverse client portfolio. You'll work closely with front-line teams and credit committees to structure bankable deals, mitigate risk, and contribute to the economic transformation of the agricultural sector.

What You'll Do:

Credit Assessment & Risk Management

• Analyse client financials and market data to perform robust credit assessments
• Identify and mitigate risks through sensitivity and trend analyses
• Prepare and present credit proposals to credit committees
• Conduct site visits and engage directly with clients and stakeholders

• Support growth while maintaining strong credit quality and reducing non-performing loans

• Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with internal teams and regional stakeholders
• Provide advisory services and training on credit matters to front-line staff
• Promote a culture of proactive risk managementPortfolio & Compliance Oversight
• Monitor existing credit portfolios through annual reviews and re-advancement assessments
• Ensure compliance with credit policy, regulatory standards, and audit requirements

• Contribute to continuous policy improvements and standardisation of proceduresRequirements for this role

• Education & Experience

• 3-Year Tertiary Qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Agri-Economics, or Credit Management
• Minimum 3 years of relevant credit assessment experience
• Proven ability to structure agricultural and commercial lending solutions
• Technical & Industry Knowledge
• Solid grasp of NCA, CPA, FICA and compliance frameworks
• In-depth understanding of agriculture sector financing (primary and secondary)
• Business acumen and expertise in loan structuring, working capital, asset finance, and integration finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with risk management and compliance tools
