As a Credit Analyst, you'll play a central role in developing robust business cases for loan submissions.
- Working closely with Relationship Managers and Provincial Heads, you will lead the consolidation of credit documentation, financial modelling, deal structuring, and risk assessment to ensure alignment with development and profitability goals.
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional teams, has a keen eye for risk, and can confidently analyse and interpret complex financial and operational data.
Responsibilities:
- You will be entrusted with responsibilities that drive both national development and internal performance goals, such as:
- Collaborate on high-impact loan submissions for various development-focused funding instruments (e.g. Blended Finance, Agro-Energy Fund).
- Conduct in-depth financial modelling and structure optimal deals aligned with legislative frameworks and the organization's mandate.
- Assess the viability of business cases by analysing cash flow projections, risk mitigation strategies, and socio-environmental impacts.
- Monitor existing portfolios, assist in proactive arrears management, and conduct client onboarding within 72 hours.
- Act as the first line of assurance for quality, compliance, and risk across systems like SAP, CRM, and Acceleris.
- Support Relationship Managers to maintain high standards of client engagement and turnaround times-aiming for 90-day loan finalization.
- Stakeholder & Client Relationship Focus
- Ensure application feedback loops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements through insights, trend analysis, and compliance oversight.
- Engage with clients to validate loan conditions, manage portfolio health, and support sustainable financial performance.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- A relevant 3-year qualification (BTech in Credit or Risk Management / BCom in Business Sciences / Investment or Risk Management).
- 3-5 years' experience in:
- Credit analysis or lending assessment in a commercial or corporate banking setting.
- Financial services lending.
- Relationship management (agricultural experience is an added advantage).
