: Cost Controller / Procurement Officer

About the position

Step into the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands and join a beautiful wine estate where tradition meets modern excellence. We’re looking for a detail-driven Cost Controller / Procurement Officer to take ownership of cost management, purchasing, and supplier relationships across our estate operations — from vineyard to hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor all cost and stock control processes across departments (winery, restaurant, and events).
• Handle procurement of goods and services – ensuring best value, quality, and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cost records; perform regular reconciliations and variance reports.
• Negotiate and maintain supplier contracts and price lists.
• Support budget preparation and assist with monthly financial reporting.
• Implement and uphold internal control systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in cost control and procurement, preferably within hospitality, food & beverage, or agricultural environments.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/POS systems (e.g. Pilot, GAAP, or similar).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A team player who can thrive in a dynamic, farm-based environment.
