Cost accountant

About the position

Join this leader in their industry as a senior cost accountant, based close to Cullinan.
Establishing and maintaining ERP master data and determining standard costs of inter step and final products.

Cost Management and Analysis

• Establishing the standard costs of products based on open book and open market costing models.
• Execute weekly standard cost updates within the ERP system and analyzing variances together with implementation of corrective actions for variances identified.
• Providing suggestions to management of the best of alternatives in order to controlling costs/minimize production cost related value losses.
• Improving product pricing or profits by solving cost inefficiencies.
• Monitor plant performance variances, including specific plant cost drivers (i.e. meat yields, throughputs, material usage, overtime, etc.) to stated standards and summarize opportunities related to manufacturing costs for management.
• Providing crucial data on inventory control and operational performance.

Master Data Management

• Setup and maintenance of bill of materials within the system Master data to manage/accommodate production flows.
• Maintenance of existing master data management solutions that enable users to optimize system capabilities.
• Serve as Finance support to sales/ marketing/operational and technical departments.

Qualification requirements
BCom degree in Accounting

Experience
At least 3-5 years'cost accounting experience in FMCG/Manufacturing environment.
