Cost & Management Accountant

The Position: We're looking for a skilled Cost & Management Accountant to be office based in Woodstock, Cape Town. The pay range on offer is R50 000.00 to R55 000.00 (Negotiable) CtC Package Per Month.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and alignment of inventory, costing strategies, and ERP system administration with the organization's financial goals. This multifaceted role requires a combination of accounting expertise, strong inventory management skills, and proficiency in ERP systems.

Requirements:

• Completed Matric
• Bachelors Degree in Management Accounting
• 2+ years experience in a cost and management accounting role preferably in a Manufacturing environment
• Background working in the manufacturing or production sectors
• MS Excel Advanced
• Critical thinker who can take initiative
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient with inventory management software, ERP systems and MS Excel
• Detail-orientated with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities
• Must be able to work independently and be responsible enough to work without supervision
• Must be a Self-Starter with a highly organized mind
• Ability to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing priorities
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for variance analyis - Pivot tables
• Product cost accounting
• Financial cost analysis
• Monthly and years budget
• Monthly and yearly forecasts
• Assist operational management with their budget process
• Assist with cost saving initiatives
• Cost Analysis (Standard and Activity based costing)
• Forecasting
• Demand Planning
• Budgets and variance analysis
• Financial modeling and trend analysis
• Provide financial reports and cost-saving strategies to senior management
