About the position
                                        Requirements:  
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in Geographic Information Systems or Geography and/or Information Systems with geospatial major
- A minimum of 8 years post graduate experience with advanced ESRI ArcGIS
- Enterprise GIS experience and exposure to its application in the electrical utility environment
- Supervisory experience
- Sound project implementation skills, particularly in GIS projects
- Experience in Python, ArcGIS Arcade, SQL, Excel, Access
- Experience in spatial and relational database design, systems analysis and design
- Driver's licence (Code EB)  
Key performance areas:  
The Energy Directorate seeks an experienced professional with a strong foundation in database design, foundational elements, validation and analysis in the specific GIS platform in order to achieve the required analytical capability  
Coordinator: GIS Analytics, Reporting and Support  
- Geospatial Master Data Management such as Aerial Photography, Base Maps and Elevation Models, Utility Network model design and maintenance, Data Security and Access Control
- Manage the ongoing examination, assessment and verification of data quality and integrity in data hosting structures
- Manage complex data analysis for the production of thematic maps and reports in support of evidence-based decision-making in EGD business processes
- Conduct research into data requirements when applying geospatial technology
- Establish, manage and provide technical support to EGD personnel in the effective use of geospatial technology in business processes
Coordinator: GIS Development Coordination  
The Energy Directorate seeks an experienced professional with a strong foundation in application development and coding, and use of the specific GIS platform for such development  
- Design, Develop and Implement Electrical Utility GIS platform including special application project management, Technical Standards and Standard Operating Procedures
- Continual Evaluation and Improvement of Applications including monitoring the performance of server-based, desktop and mobile applications
- Research GIS Technology and Decision Support Systems
- Establish, manage and provide support to EGD personnel in the effective use of geospatial technology in business processes
