Our client based in New Germany, Durban is seeking a Conventional Milling Machine Operator to join their team.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Conventional Milling Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be solely responsible for operating a milling machine, ensuring precision machining of metal components based on technical drawings and samples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a conventional milling machine to produce high-quality machined parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to execute machining tasks.
- Work from samples to replicate existing components accurately.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, following workplace safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Conventional Milling Machine Operator.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work from samples.
- Strong knowledge of metal properties, cutting tools, and machining techniques.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
