About the position
Our client, a Professional Project Services company in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a dedicated Contracts Manager to provide commercial and contractual support across project portfolios. This role offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams while managing contract performance, reducing commercial risk, and contributing to successful project execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of project contracts, from drafting and negotiation through to close-out.
- Manage contract administration, amendments, change orders, and claims.
- Evaluate contractual risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Support dispute resolution through sound contractual interpretation and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure contract compliance.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and reporting for governance and audit purposes.
- Contribute to tender preparation by reviewing contractual terms and commercial requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Commerce, Supply Chain, Business, or a related qualification.
- 5-8 years' experience in contract management or commercial roles.
- Proven experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and administration.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and bespoke contracts.
- Experience using CLM systems, SAP or Oracle ERP systems, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Good understanding of commercial law, project delivery, procurement, and regulatory compliance.
