About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their KwaZulu-Natal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned construction professional to oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to successful completion while driving operational excellence, financial performance, and strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, operational, and financial oversight of multiple construction projects
- Lead, mentor, and develop Site Management teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Oversee project planning, costing, programming, and resource allocation
- Monitor contract performance and manage project risks
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, statutory regulations, and contractual obligations
- Prepare monthly management reports and project progress updates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Attend internal and external project meetings and provide strategic input
Requirements:
- BSc in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related qualification
- Registered as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM) or Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) with SACPCMP
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior management role on major construction projects
- Strong knowledge of project management systems and construction methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
