They are seeking a dynamic Contracting Specialist who is ready to grow, contribute, and thrive in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the unit operations plan and monitor performance against KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with business processes and drive continuous system improvements.
- Lead the end-to-end contracting process, including negotiation, drafting, execution, and administration.
- Achieve on-time contract availability and increase on-contract spend.
- Monitor contract performance, manage risks, and provide regular reporting.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and resolve contract-related issues promptly.
- Manage supplier performance against SLAs and take corrective action where needed.
- Support budgeting through expenditure tracking, financial analysis, and cost control.
- Ensure SHE standards are implemented, monitored, and maintained.
- Contribute to workforce planning, recruitment (aligned to EE targets), and operational resourcing.
- Support the department's sustainability objectives and ensure environmentally responsible operations.
Requirements
- BCom/BTech in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracts Management or similar.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management will be advantageous
- CIPS Certification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) - mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years' contract management experience in the explosives, manufacturing, or mining sectors.
- Must be willing to travel on site
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and SAP Ariba Contracting.
