About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist – Containers & Intermodal to manage the full contract lifecycle, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations within a logistics and shipping environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts
- Execute sourcing events and support procurement strategies
- Manage contract administration, amendments and compliance
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve contractual issues
- Analyse contract data and prepare management reports
- Support contract implementation across ERP and procurement systems
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive commercial value and mitigate risk
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years' experience in container shipping or general shipping environment (advantageous)
- Strong contract management and commercial negotiation experience
- Knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay processes
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Power BI or similar) advantageous
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
