We are currently preparing a tender submission for a major project within the Power Generation sector and are seeking experienced Contract Managers who would be interested in a potential four-year contract opportunity.
The purpose of this is to provide structured and proactive contract management support across power generation projects, ensuring that contractual obligations are fulfilled efficiently, risks are effectively managed, and commercial outcomes are optimised. The role plays a critical part in safeguarding organisational interests while fostering strong and sustainable stakeholder relationships.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma, Advanced Certificate, or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Legal Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years' proven experience in contract management within infrastructure, engineering, or power generation environments.
- Working knowledge and practical application of FIDIC and NEC suites of contracts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Contract Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of contracts to ensure optimal operational and financial performance while minimising legal and commercial risk.
- Contract Development & Review - Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise contracts in line with organisational policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Contract Administration & Execution - Oversee the implementation and administration of contracts to ensure all terms, conditions, and deliverables are met.
- Performance Monitoring - Track contractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations, KPIs, and service level agreements.
- Risk Management - Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, including managing claims, variations, and disputes in accordance with FIDIC and NEC frameworks.
- Compliance & Governance - Ensure adherence to contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Liaise with project teams, legal advisors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to support effective contract execution and relationship management.
- Contract Close-Out & Renewal - Manage contract amendments, renewals, extensions, and close-out processes in line with governance procedures.
