About the position

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contract Manager/Design Engineer.
• Integration of project management plans and baselines of the contract / contracts assigned.
• Daily management of the project team assigned to work on the contract/s.
• Document preparation or the overseeing of such including preparation of RFA's & FEQ's issue FRQ's to approved suppliers and sub-contractors after supplier selection, for waste water and membrane related contracts allocated to you - Cost and Profitability driven.
• Process design input on these contracts as required.
• Supplier selection after receiving quotations.
• Cost engineering and supplier negotiation.
• Complete the commercial and contractual requirements/aspects of these contract.
• Look at strategies of improving profit margins from the get go of the project / contract
• Assist with the general marketing of the company and the development of new business areas e.g. Membrane plants.
• Stand in as the acting Contracts Director as required.
• Overall responsibility for the management and profitability of the particular specific contracts you manage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12/Matric
• Qualification - Bachelor of Engineering (BSc/BEng or alternatively B.Tech)
• Must have Design and Contracts Management of Building Water/Waste Water/ Water Treatment sector with a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience.
• Valid Driver's License / Own Transport
• Willingness to travel to clients / sites and meetings
• Ability to work in independently with guidance from CEO and Site Managers
• Ability to lead a team, and complete projects successfully.
• Proper time management and ability to work under pressure or work overtime, when required.

RUMUNERATION

R60,000 To R60,000 per month (Negotiable)
