About the position

Description:
1. PURPOSE OF GROUP INTERNAL AUDIT (GIA)
• The purpose of GIA is to provide independent, objective assurance to the company Board of Directors via the Group Audit Committee that the governance processes, management of risk and systems of internal control are adequate and effective to mitigate the risks (in line with GIA Internal Audit Methodology), both current and emerging, that threaten the achievement of the Group’s strategy and key objectives, and in so doing help improve the internal control and risk culture of the Group.
• GIA receives its authority from the Group Audit Committee (GAC), which is a committee of the Board of company established to, among other things, review the work of Internal Audit of company and its subsidiaries (the "Group").
2. ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE GROUP INTERNAL AUDIT PORTFOLIO MANAGER: CREDIT
Purpose: To deliver on the annual audit plan thereby providing reasonable assurance to stakeholders that key risks are being mitigated through adequate and effective management controls in accordance with Group Internal Audit (GIA)methodology.
The Manager, in the discharge of his/her duties, shall be accountable for:
• Perform AML specialised audits and issues assurance as part of the 2024 annual plan and attend audit related meetings.
• End-to-end audit execution as required (planning, fieldwork, reporting).
• Documentation of working papers and conclusion of the audit on Team Mate in line with the GIA methodology.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal audit teams, business and key stakeholders to ensure robustness and completeness of audit coverage and provide insights to enhance assurance provided over the control environment.
• Write the audit report for this audit.

• Ensure that quality requirements per methodology is adhered to
3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential qualifications required:
• B. Com
• CIA, CFE, ACAMS (optional)
4. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The following minimum experience is required:
• Manager equivalent with 6 – 8 years experience with specific experience in:
o AML and Banking audit experience
o Experience with audit software TM+ (Preferred)
5. OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Aside from the required qualifications and experience set out above, and in addition to strong technical skills and IQ, strong personal attributes and skills essential to be a successful candidate in this role include:

Various testing will be conducted to confirm the sustainability of the short-listed candidates before final selection.
