Continuous Improvement Process Manager

The Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) is an ongoing effort to improve products, services and processes. The ultimate objective of the Continuous Improvement Process is to ensure a culture where employees improve processes daily to continuously reduce all non-value adding activities, all overburden and any unevenness in all the processes.

  • The successful incumbent must drive Continuous Improvement to quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality and service.
  • Train and educate the organisation and implement continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Provide strategic leadership and tactical planning to ensure Continuous Improvement strategies are implemented and maintained.
  • Lay & maintain the foundation for standardised work operations.
  • Engage all levels of management in the PDCA process.
  • Adopt lean tools, lean systems, lean behaviours and lean thinking that will lead and support improving business results.
  • Be responsible for identifying OEE opportunities including tracking downtime results, improving data integrity and developing improvement plans based on the data.
  • Driving shop floor Continuous Improvement through employee empowerment.

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

  • Degree / Diploma in Operations/Engineering field.
  • Management experience, this position requires the incumbent to co-ordinate, facilitate and manage different projects in order to achieve the CIP objectives.
