Construction Surveyor - Civil at MSP

About the position

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Surveyor to join their civil construction team in the Western Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in roads, earthworks, pipelaying, and township developments who is passionate about delivering accurate survey data to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately set out construction works using approved drawings and benchmarks
• Conduct surveys and measurements for roads, pipelines, earthworks, and excavations
• Prepare as-built records and measurements for payment purposes
• Verify survey calculations and ensure the accuracy of all survey data
• Manage and coordinate the surveying activities of roadworks, earthworks, or pipe-laying teams
• Perform grid surveys to determine material volumes and site levels
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment
• Mentor and train junior survey staff

Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related qualification
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil construction surveying
• Experience on roadworks, earthworks, pipelaying, and township development projects
• Ability to work independently and manage survey activities on site
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's licence
