Construction Manager - Road and Civils

About the position

Our client, a national construction company, specialising in medium to large scale projects, seeks to employ an, well experienced and qualified Construction Manager, with a strong background in Road and related Civils Construction, for their operation in Cape Town.

This role is to be based within the Northern and Western Cape, focused on SANRAL road construction (NOT surfacing), as well as related stormwater, bridge and culvert projects

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

• You will have a degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, coupled with SACPCMP certification and 5-10 years experience in road and civil construction projects
• You will have experience in managing and supervise construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Your career history will include collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop construction plans and schedules, as well as conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance.
• You will have coordinated and communicated with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective execution of construction projects, as well as review and evaluate construction documents, bids, and contracts to monitor project costs and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations is essential.
• You will have proven and exceptional leadership and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in CCS Candy and Microsoft Office Suite.
• You must be a detailed-orientated and organized team player with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations.
• You must have a driver's license, a clear criminal and credit record, and reliable transport.
