Construction Manager

About the position

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join their team in the Western Cape. This opportunity is ideal for a results-driven civil engineering professional with proven leadership experience in managing civil construction projects from site establishment through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage civil engineering projects from site establishment to project close-out
• Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials, and resources for maximum efficiency
• Monitor project progress, quality, and productivity
• Control project costs and prepare monthly progress claims
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation
• Manage subcontractors to achieve programme, quality, and cost objectives
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and project stakeholders
• Provide regular project reports to senior management

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience in civil engineering construction
• At least 5 years' experience as a Construction Manager on civil engineering projects
• Strong site management, resource planning, cost control, and quality management experience
• Sound understanding of construction methodologies and contract administration
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Computer literacy
• Registration with ECSA or SACPCMP will be advantageous
• Willingness to work on projects throughout the Western Cape
