Compliance Supervisor

About the position

Operations:

• Stay current with regulatory and quality control standards.


• Manage documentation, internal audits, and compliance reports.


• Identify and report non-conformances; conduct root cause analysis.


• Perform unannounced inspections to ensure audit readiness.


• Oversee stock control and coordinate compliance-related procedures (e.g. pest control, hygiene, safety meetings).

 



Quality:

• Assess processes against standards; raise and follow up on non-conformances.


• Validate effectiveness of corrective actions.


• Compliance:


• Conduct regular compliance and H&S checks (glass control, pest checks, hygiene).


• Maintain thorough records and ensure adherence to policies.

 



Communication & Reporting:

• Analyze environmental and water sampling results; provide timely feedback.


• Ensure clear communication across all levels.


• Manage audit schedules and non-conformance reporting.

 



HR & Training:

• Train staff on packhouse procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements through inductions and refresher sessions.

 



General:

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


• Responsibilities may shift during the off-season.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12)


• BRCGS or HACCP certification


• 2–3 years relevant packhouse compliance experience


• Familiarity with food safety auditing
