About the position
Our Client is seeking a qualified Company Maintenance Engineer to take responsibility for equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness and compliance across workshop and operational environments.
This role is suited to an experienced maintenance engineer or millwright with a solid grounding in mechanical systems, fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance who is comfortable working to defined performance, safety and cost standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant technical qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering or maintenance environment
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge and understanding of materials and wear mechanisms
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of reliability engineering concepts including MTBF and MTTR
- Experience with structured maintenance planning and execution
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making capability
- Clear and professional communication skills
The Role
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical equipment failures using structured troubleshooting methods
- Analyse equipment performance data to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
- Develop, implement and refine preventative maintenance strategies
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation and modification histories
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor maintenance costs and support cost control without compromising equipment integrity
- Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel
This position requires a disciplined engineering professional who is comfortable working with accountability, performance targets and operational priorities. The role is hands on and requires a practical, methodical approach to maintenance and reliability engineering.
