About the position
DBN000088: Company Buyer – Electrical & Plumbing (PMB)
Purpose of Job:
Seeking a proactive and experienced Buyer to take ownership of our purchasing operations across two branches – with more locations in the pipeline. This is a key role for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of trade supply and is ready to help us scale efficiently and profitably.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage 200 (Sage pastel Evolution)
Technical Competencies and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of buying or procurement experience, electrical or plumbing industry
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented, experience in stock forecasting and reporting
- Work independently and manage multiple supplier relationships
- Knowledge of international sourcing practices advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase stock for branches
- Source and manage buyouts
- Negotiate suppliers pricing, deals and rebates
- Building and maintain strong relationships with supplies and sales representatives.
- Provide monthly procurement and performance reports to management
- Monitor stock levels
Behavioural Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of electrical and plumbing products.
- Ability to manage stock
- Experience buyer to manage and grow operations across two branches.
