About the position
Are you a seasoned strategist with a passion for the produce industry? Your opportunity awaits! Our client is in search of a Depo Manager/Fresh Produce Trader to spearhead operations at their small operation in Port Elizabeth. If you possess a proven track record in the dynamic realm of buying and selling fruits and vegetables, then we want to hear from you.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Any tertiary qualification would be an advantage).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement and sales of fresh fruit and vegetables is a MUST.
- Extensive product knowledge of fresh produce varieties.
- Management experience of a small team (3-5 people).
- Excellent computer literacy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team and manage business operations.
- Maintain productive relationships with current and new producers and clients.
- Fully responsible for procurement and sales within the business.
- Identify and pursuit opportunities to expand business.
- Analyze sales and finance reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth.
- Ensure profitability of business.
- Report to Directors on all business aspects.
