About the position

Introduction

This role requires the candidate to have International experince (Import and Export). The role will report into the Head of Sales - International

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Full commercial function to maximise revenue and profit via various sales channels on the export market to achieve monthly and yearly targets.
  • Day to day communication between customers and RFG factories to ensure good customer service.
  • Ongoing market penetration and market development for new and existing products to develop and grow businesses in international markets.
  • Build product awareness through networking, key account management and any other relevant method or platform.
  • Relationship management with agents, sub agents and direct customers per allocated markets.
  • Manage and communicate sales plans based on various data inputs such as global demand, crop size, yields etc.
  • Report monthly on key performance sales areas and insights to adjust sales strategy/approach accordingly.
  • Prepare annual financial budget and quarterly forecasts per allocated markets.
  • Formulate and implement the price strategy per product per country in line with business and brand objectives.
  • Attendance of trade fairs for development of new leads. Follow up on leads and turn them into profitable opportunities.
  • Regular market visits.
  • Remain up to date of the company's products and that of the competitor and larger category to be confident and informed.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement business improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report competitor activity in international markets.
  • Understand and optimize the correct product mix per country and region.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with production facilities to have awareness of stock levels.
  • Maintain close working relationship with the logistics team to ensure all deliveries takes place according to the plan.
  • Manage and communicate production plans for various factories on daily basis throughout season, based on market research and prior sales.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Our ideal candidate should have the following:

  • National Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Food Science/Technology
  • 2 - 5 Years' Experience in a commercial/customer management role
  • A driver's license and their own reliable transport is essential.
