Head of Commercial - Digital Out-of-Home Advertising

An innovative Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising company is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial to lead national revenue growth across its digital screen media portfolio.

This senior role is ideal for a confident, results-oriented professional with a strong track record in media sales-particularly within the South African OOH landscape. You'll take ownership of commercial strategy, drive sales performance, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced and evolving market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial function, overseeing sales performance across digital OOH assets.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive media bookings and maximise asset occupancy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies and direct clients.
• Provide data-driven sales insights and reporting to senior leadership.
• Register and onboard with key agency networks and ensure optimal brand visibility.
• Identify new business opportunities and innovate to stay ahead of market trends.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in a senior sales or commercial leadership role in media or advertising.
• Deep understanding of DOOH (Digital Out-of-Home) advertising formats and value proposition.
• Proven success in driving revenue and meeting ambitious targets in a competitive environment.
• Strong network in the South African media industry, including agencies and advertisers.
• Experience working with or within established OOH players is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
