About the position
Our Client, a strong corporate commercial law firm in Sandton, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its team.
This role is suited to a high-calibre attorney with strong academics, top-tier training and experience handling complex commercial disputes.
Key Requirements
Admitted attorney with 3 to 5 years post articles experience in commercial litigation
Experience gained at a top-tier or international law firm
Strong academic record
Proven experience managing high-value litigation matters
Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial litigation matters from inception to finalisation
Draft pleadings, affidavits, opinions and heads of argument
Develop litigation strategies and conduct legal research
Appear in the High Court and Magistrates Court where required
Engage with counsel, clients and stakeholders
Manage discovery, trial preparation and case progression
Advise clients on litigation risk and dispute resolution
