Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and legal
documents.
- Advise clients on corporate and commercial law matters.
- Assist with and manage corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions,
restructures, and project finance transactions.
- Draft and review:
o Sale of Business Agreements
o Sale of Shares Agreements
o Shareholders Agreements
o Partnership Agreements
o Memoranda of Incorporation (MOIs)
o Commercial contracts and related transaction documents
- Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, including the Companies Act and
related regulatory requirements.
- Manage matters independently while collaborating effectively with the broader
team.
Minimum Requirements
- LLB Degree.
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- 3–5 years' solid post-admission experience in Corporate and Commercial Law.
- Proven experience in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
and/or project finance transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience in client engagement and relationship management.
