About the position

Purpose of the Job:
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Account Executive to join our team and take charge of managing and growing a portfolio of clients. As a key player in our organisation, you will prospect potential clients, engage with them to understand their insurance needs and provide expert recommendations on suitable short-term insurance policies. Your core function will be to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries and claims promptly. You will negotiate and close deals to achieve monthly and annual sales targets by leveraging effective sales techniques and market knowledge. As part of our collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to marketing strategies, cross-sell within different divisions, and drive business growth while fostering a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and Lead Generation:
  • Utilize various channels to identify and generate leads for potential clients.
  • Conduct thorough research and employ effective prospecting techniques to expand the client base.

  • Client Engagement and Consultation:

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their insurance requirements and assess their risk profiles.
  • Provide expert advice and recommend suitable short-term insurance policies based on client needs.
  • Clearly present and explain insurance policy options, coverage details, terms, and conditions to ensure clients have a comprehensive understanding.

  • Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, or claims promptly and professionally.
  • Strive to exceed client expectations and maintain long-term client satisfaction.

  • Sales Execution:

  • Utilize effective sales techniques to negotiate and close sales deals.
  • Overcome objections and obstacles to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within different divisions and convert them into successful sales.

  • Market Awareness and Competitor Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
  • Leverage this knowledge to position our short-term insurance products effectively and differentiate our value proposition.

  • Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and underwriters to ensure seamless policy issuing, renewals, and claims processing.
  • Foster strong communication and cooperation to provide an exceptional customer experience.

  • Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and policy documentation.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights to management.

  • Professional Development:

  • Actively participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Enhance product knowledge, improve sales techniques, and contribute to personal and team goals.

  • Marketing Support:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote short-term insurance products and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • RE5 and relevant NQF qualification
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the broking insurance industry.
