About the position
Introduction
This position is responsible for supporting and assisting with the cold store's day-to-
day operations and providing clerical support to the Shift Manager on nightshift,
employees and coordinating all daily administrative activities and functions.

Key responsibilities: - Service provider management: schedule time of work, check OHS compliance,
book in and ensure assigned to a working area, ensure PO is in place. - General admin duties.
- Ensure stock is correctly allocated as per the system.
- Ensure the weight and number of cartons are correct before loading in/off.
- Ensure that the correct product and quantity is loaded in good condition.
- Ensure that documentation is correcting and corresponding.
- Ensure all local drivers' PODs are returned daily.
- Ensure that all problem orders and queries are dealt with immediately.
- Ensure that the leave register is updated.
- Ensure that all containers are offloaded and sent back on time.
- Ensure all GRVs are booked on the system.
- Ordering of truck seals.
- Ensure all files are up to date.
- Ensure that all credits (returns) are written in the book and sent to the relevant
people. - Ensure problem orders on SAP are communicated to the relevant parties.
- Order office stationery and supplies.
- Act as the cold store liaison between the logistics department, HR and other
departments where necessary. - Documentation control for internal processes, MHE and local deliveries.
- Scan daily local delivery notes against load sheet.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Matric
- Computer literacy in Ms Outlook, Ms Excel, SAP B1, Camara WMS, Chep pallet
system.
Experience needed: - At least 3 years' work experience within a cold store/warehouse or similar
environment. - Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, pest control and SOP's will be advantageous.
Contract type: Permanent with a 6-month probation period.
Working hours:
Mondays - Thursday: 19h00 - 04h30 (dependent on operational requirements)
Fridays: 17h30 - 03h00 (dependent on operational requirements)
Hours may fluctuate due to operational requirements, weekends/public holidays will
be required.
