We’re seeking a dynamic Application Specialist to oversee and optimize our Cognos Analytics environment, support supply chain reporting, and deliver scalable, reliable reports and dashboards.
RequirementsWhat You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and enhancement of Cognos Framework Manager models, reports, dashboards, and data cubes.
- Architect and deliver complex reporting solutions, including drill-through and Slice & Dice capabilities.
- Act as the technical lead for large projects, guiding teams and ensuring delivery within Agile and traditional frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to understand needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to build a high-performing analytics team.
- Manage user access, security, and infrastructure for Cognos.
- Stay at the forefront of Cognos and analytics innovations, applying best practices and new techniques.
Your Expertise & Experience:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Cognos Administrator and Report Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Cognos Analytics, report development, metadata modeling, and dashboard creation.
- Certification in Cognos Analytics (essential).
- Skilled in SSIS (intermediate to advanced).
- Experience leading projects through the full SDLC.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and tools like JIRA (advantageous).
- Knowledge of supply chain or distribution systems is a plus.
- Solid analysis, design, testing, and support experience.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (advantageous).
