Coded Welder (Contract Position – Potchefstroom)
Are you a skilled welder with experience in GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes?
We’re looking for a Coded Welder on a contract basis in Potchefstroom.
In this role, you'll be responsible for welding a variety of structures and pipes to high-quality standards using multiple welding techniques in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:
- Matric/Grade 12 with a valid Trade Certificate as a Welder
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a coded welder, including at least 2 years TIG (GTAW) welding experience on stainless steel
- Computer literate, able to read welding symbols, with solid knowledge of fabrication/manufacturing, and experience in planning and executing work activities
- Clear criminal record and medically fit
- Willing to work shifts, open to contract employment, and able to relocate to Potchefstroom at own cost for the duration of the contract
Experience in an explosive environment will be an advantage
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Welding of stainless-steel pipes, plates, and structures.
- Welding of mild steel pipes, plates, frames and structures
- Responsible for good housekeeping and waste management.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements.
- Perform Ad-Hoc duties as required in line with manufacturing.
