About the position
The Co-operative Bank Manager is responsible for the day-to-day and strategic operations of the bank, overseeing finance, IT systems, human resources, and marketing, while also preparing reports for the Board of Directors and ensuring compliance with acceptable accounting procedures and the bank's constitution. The role involves both financial management, such as preparing annual statements and developing policies, and broader organizational oversight to promote the bank's growth and services.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage the Bank at an operational and strategic level.
- Manage all the finances of the Bank in line with acceptable accounting procedures.
- Manage the IT system and all other equipment's and systems.
- Manage the Human Resources component of the Bank.
- Help in the marketing of the Bank's products.
- Responsible for the management, development and presentation of reports to the Board and its Committees in line with the constitution
- Prepare Annual Financial Statement
- Develop and monitor financial policies and procedure - Ensure monthly and quartley reports to the board and Committee meeting
Required work Experience
- At least 3-4 years' work experience, where at least 2 years' experience in supervisory level or junior level manager
- Knowledge of experience of a Cooperative Bank (advantageous)
Pastel payroll experience
Required minimum Qualification
- Matric
- Qualification in accounting or banking
- Pastel certificates (Advantageous)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (advantageous)
- Add advantage Financial cooperative Management certificates
- Valid driver's licence
