CNC Trainee Operator

About the position

A Manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Trainee Operator to join their team in Parow, Cape Town
Experience:

• No experience is required, training will be provided
• Must be recently graduated or have a certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have experience in SOLIDWORKS
• Reside within or around Parow.

Responsibilities:

• Making sure that jobs are completed efficiently within standard time.
• Setting i.e. fitting jaws and tools in machine and operating the CNC machine.
• Learning to understand CNC code & CNC programming.
• Must be able to work independently and sometimes under pressure.
• Must be competent to use all measuring instruments
• Reading and understanding dimensioned mechanical drawings and making precise measurements are important.
• Quality control at machine of finished parts.
• Strictly follow manufacturing procedures.
• Keeping work area tidy at all times.
• Punctuality is of importance.

Please note acceptance of the offer contains a 3 month probation period, once successful an additional 9 month contract will be signed. After the training period a permanent position as a Draughtsman will be offered.
