Cloud-based Technologies Lecturer (Contract) (Durban)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:
AN innovative Academic Institute seeks to employ the services of a Cloud-based Technologies Lecturer as an Independent Contractor. You will lecture IT-related modules on a part-time basis while assisting in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department. Applicants will need to possess a BSc. Honours Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with relevant lecturing experience including knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes and relevant research experience.

DUTIES:
Modules to be lectured - Enterprise Computing, Programming, Cloud-based Architecture

• General administration.
• Set and mark of assessments.
• Preparation of notes and additional study materials.
• Quality Assurance.
• Management of At-risk students.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications -

• Honours Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Experience/Skills -

• Relevant lecturing experience.
• Necessary knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes.
• Relevant research experience.
