About the position
Clinical Facilitator focuses on education, training, and mentorship within a clinical setting, bridging the gap between theory and practice to ensure staff competency, student development, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Education & Training:
- Develop, plan, and facilitate training and development programs for clinical staff and students.
- Provide formal and informal lectures, workshops, and in-service education.
- Support staff empowerment and reduce the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical practice.
Clinical Leadership & Mentorship:
- Offer professional and clinical leadership to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide students, new staff, and junior clinical staff, providing feedback and support.
- Assist with the induction and orientation of new staff members in their clinical area.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
- Monitor, evaluate, and ensure high nursing standards within the clinical environment.
- Oversee the health and safety of staff, patients, and visitors, and report accidents and incidents.
- Contribute to the implementation and updating of relevant clinical policies and procedures.
- Administrative & Coordination:
- Coordinate and facilitate the logistics of clinical placements for students.
- Maintain communication with educational institutions and clinical affiliates.
- Handle administrative tasks related to clinical facilitation and staff recruitment.
Requirements:
- Nursing Diploma/Degree.
- Nursing Education qualification
- 5-Year proven experience.
- Registered with South African Nursing Council.
- Willing to relocate
