About the position
Background:
- Our client in the Healthcare and Medical Industry has a position for a Clinical Data Analyst based in Johannesburg area.
Requirements:
- Bsc Degree / Bsc Honours in Data Science or Health Informatics or Statistics or Computer Science or related field
- Masters degree will be an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Clinical or Healthcare Data Analysis
- Experience working in a healthcare, clinical research or medical data environment (Compulsary)
- Strong SQL Skills with proven ability to query, manipulate and manage complex datasets
- Proficiency in Power BI or Visualization/BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik)
- Solid understanding of clinical coding standards and terminologies e.g. (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED ect.)
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to translate technical data insights into business/clinical language
Duties:
- Advanced SQL Programming
- Data visualization using Power BI or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Data manipulation techniques
- Knowledge of clinical coding systems
- Familiarty with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
- Understanding of healthcare informatics and clinical workflows
- Statistical analysis knowledge (R, Python or SAS) advantageous
