Job Summary Join a leading, specialist agricultural development finance institution dedicated to supporting South Africa's commercial and emerging farmers. The organisation provides tailored financial solutions that enable farmers to acquire land, equipment, improve assets, and access production credit. As the sector evolves, the institution continues to support new entrants from historically disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them establish sustainable agri-businesses that drive both commercial viability and socio-economic impact. The Relationship Manager is responsible for end-to-end client relationship management, ensuring a seamless client experience while growing the lending book in line with the client segmentation model. This role markets financial and insurance products, assesses client potential, structures deals, and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to manage risk and deliver sustainable portfolio growth. Key Responsibilities Development Transformation of the Agricultural Sector Present the organisation to prospective clients via presentations, farmers' unions, and community engagements. Review client requests and applications for viability. Growth, Profitability, and Financial Performance Drive growth of the loan book while managing NPL ratios and portfolio health. Onboard at least six new clients with disbursed loans by year-end. Client Relationship Management & Preservation Conduct client visits and calls to maintain strong relationships. Identify additional sales opportunities and strengthen existing relationships. Stakeholder Relationship Management Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (Credit, Legal, Agriculture Economics & Advisory). Work with Client Analysts, Agriculture Specialists, and Credit Managers on complex transactions to mitigate risk. People Management Implement personal training and development plans and achieve targets. Manage and support Client Analysts. Process Improvements Identify and implement process efficiencies to support targets. Share learnings and collaborate with other Relationship Managers. Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Preferred Minimum Education & Experience Critical Competencies
