Client Banking Analyst (Commercial Banking & Transformation) - Freestate, Kroonstad

Are you a skilled Credit Analyst with a passion for driving transformation and growth in the agricultural and commercial banking space? This is your opportunity to join a purpose-driven financial institution at the forefront of empowering businesses across South Africa's agricultural value chain.

We're looking for a dynamic Client Banking Analyst to partner with Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders in structuring and assessing impactful finance solutions. This role offers the chance to work on meaningful transactions that support both commercial success and socio-economic development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyse and structure loan applications, including financial modelling and risk assessment
  • Compile high-quality credit submissions for approval committees
  • Evaluate business cases, financial statements, and cash flow projections
  • Provide insights on deal viability, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Support portfolio performance, client onboarding, and ongoing relationship management
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and enhanced turnaround times

What we're looking for:

  • A relevant 3-year qualification in Finance, Business, Risk, or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in credit analysis or lending within commercial/corporate banking
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Experience in financial services lending (agriculture exposure is advantageous)
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
