About the position

We're looking for a Client Banking Analyst to join our client's Commercial Development Banking team in Bethlehem - someone who's equally comfortable in spreadsheets, strategy sessions, and stakeholder meetings.

As the Client Banking Analyst, you'll play a central role in financial modelling, deal structuring, and client relationship support, helping ensure that each application aligns with both commercial goals and broader development impact.
You will work closely with the Relationship Manager and Provincial Head to assess, package, and support quality credit applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Package and present loan applications for Credit Committee consideration
  • Conduct financial modelling and assess business cases, risk, and viability
  • Support the full credit assessment process in partnership with the provincial team
  • Help ensure compliance, data quality, and risk alignment across systems (SAP, CRM, etc.)
  • Monitor portfolio performance and assist with client onboarding and condition tracking
  • Contribute to proactive client engagement and stakeholder relationship management
  • Assist with process improvements, policy alignment, and governance assurance

What You'll Need

  • NQF Level 5 or relevant 3-year qualification (e.g. BTech in Credit or Risk Management, or Degree in Business / Finance / Investment)
  • 3-5 years' experience in commercial credit, lending, or banking environment
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit processes, and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with relevant systems and strong reporting abilities
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as needed

Experience in development finance or the agricultural sector will be a strong advantage.
