Dispatching Clerk (Kits Room 12 Months Fixed Term Contract)

About the position

Main purpose of the job:

• Ensure correct preparation, packing, and dispatching of kits for clinical trials conducted by WDIH

Location:

• WDIH – Braamfontein, Johannesburg

Key performance areas:

• Perform quality control check on consumables before packing and labeling kits
• Label request forms and tubes
• Packing of the kits in accordance with requirements for the specific study
• After packing one kit will be Quality Controlled by one member of staff
• Kits to be quality control checking before dispatch to study sites
• Log dispatched kits onto the laboratory information management system
• Maintain records and a detailed list of bar codes of kit orders per study for reporting and statistical purposes
• Keep the kit room neat and tidy at all times

Required minimum education and training:

• Matric Certificate

Required minimum work experience:

• 1-year administration experience in kitting or laboratory supply chain

Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:

• Attention to detail is essential
• Must be Adaptable and reliable
• Understanding of Clinical Trials
• Ability to operate in a pressurized environment
• Computer literate
• Microsoft Excel Intermediate
